Introduction to Herbalism – July 2023
This 4-part herbalism course is for beginners who want to bring herbs into their everyday life and dip their toes in the world of herbalism. We will explore the many facets of herbal medicine in this comprehensive course. Class will cover basic human physiology and common herbal remedies for each body system. Students will learn to prepare a number of herbal products, including herbal extracts, salves, syrups and teas. This course also includes a local Herb Walk to learn how to identify medicinal plants in the area. At the end of the course you will have a well rounded understanding of an array of herbs, medicine making techniques, and be able to take home a variety of remedies that you made yourself!
